I ran across this set of words stalking people on Facebook. Sometimes it is worth it.
“The key to succeeding in a relationship is not finding the right person; it’s learning to love the person you found.”
Slightly reminiscent of what I was muddling about yesterday.
And then I ran across this set of words on Twitter. (Yay for social networks. Kinda.)
“Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear them or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.” (Said by Rick Warren.)
And I just want to leave that there, and point out how much they relate to each other and also to what I said yesterday.
And then I want to share with everyone the fact that tonight my mom and I made spaghetti and watched Shakespeare in Love and I don’t usually do cool things like that with my mom, and it was bloody amazing.
