I visited little France and little Germany during my sojourns in little Denmark and little Sweden. (I also visited little Norway and, to a certain extent, little Finland, but didn’t have a memory card at the time – nor did I have a memory card for the majority of my time in Bemidji this summer. Oops.)
Here’s what I did bring home, in terms of things to see.
fountains in little France
I’m quite proud of this one.
Paris at sunset
attempt at perspective photography with a small Eiffel Tower
(published) attempt #2
the back of a remarkable bench
I can hear the low, lazy violin music.
further attempt at an Eiffel Tower sunset
By motorboat back to our sailing dock
…and then this happened.
some time later, in little Germany… (Schneewittchen/Snow White)
…in the artists’ colony, where they appear to like Märchen a good deal…(Rumpelstilzschen)
Der Froschkönig/The Frog Prince
Hänsel und Gretel
Rotkäppchen/Little Red Riding Hood
artsy path photo
and, further back in the woods
“house of the rising sun”
“The thoughts are free, who can know them?” (It continues on the other side of the building: “they fly past like shadows in the night”)
Schwarzwaldhaus (Black Forest House)
reminiscent of what I know of Switzerland.
And yes, I am quite in love with the sailboat picture.
